This page lists a short overview of the mechanics found in Carnal Instinct.

Early Game Tips

• If combat becomes too challenging it can be changed in the gameplay options. See the Difficulty page for details.
• Getting a Bone Khopesh from any of the roaming Bloodseekers makes early encounters much easier since it has more than triple the damage of the starting weapon.
• Investing your starting gold into Cooked Food from Epaphos which is slightly cheaper than Potions is beneficial early game. Food is less practical in direct confrontations since it regenerates health over time instead of the near-instant regeneration of potions but helps during traveling or exploration.

Notes

• It's not necessary to level your Carnal Instinct for the current builds, as it has no gameplay impact. All dialogue choices you see regarding the Carnal Instinct ability are either locked or unlocked by default, regardless of level.
